Kimberly A. Van Grouw, Esq. is a Senior Associate Attorney of the firm who focuses her practice on matters involving New Jersey Landlord/Tenant Law and Community Association Law. Ms. Van Grouw focuses primarily on Community Association transitions, a process which transfers Developer control to an Association after construction of the Association, as well as assisting in fair housing matters such as preparing responses to fair housing violations. In addition, Ms. Van Grouw frequently drafts and prepares Amendments and Resolutions to Association governing documents and regularly attends Association Board meetings, assisting in Annual Elections and other community related matters.
Ms. Van Grouw graduated from Centenary University (B.A., magna cum laude, 2016) and Quinnipiac School of Law (J.D., summa cum laude, 2022). While in law school, Ms. Van Grouw served as a member of the law school’s Civil Justice Clinic, advocating for prisoner’s rights during the COVID-19 pandemic and spreading awareness and providing training to hotel and hospital staff regarding human trafficking prevention. Ms. Van Grouw also served as a member of the law school’s Tax Clinic, where she represented low- and moderate-income individuals in administrative proceedings with the Internal Revenue Service at the audit, appeals and collection levels.
Prior to joining Griffin Alexander, P.C., Ms. Van Grouw worked as an intern for the Morris County Prosecutors Office handling policy and criminal related issues.
Ms. Van Grouw is presently licensed to practice law in New Jersey.
